A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly driving by a home on a four-wheeler and displaying a firearm when told to leave.
A deputy responded to threats made by 23-year-old Bricen Lee Schofield at an undisclosed Lake County residence at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4 according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The male complainant advised that Schofield drove by his residence on a green four-wheeler that day. When told to leave, Schofield threatened to come back with “something for him,” the report said.
The complainant expressed concern for his safety due to a similar incident from three days prior. Schofield had come by on a four-wheeler and made threats then, too, standing up to show a firearm in his waistband. A witness described it as a glock handgun, the report said.
The deputy canvassed the area where Schofield frequented without success. He also spoke with a resident of Laralack Avenue in Leesburg where he often stayed. The resident stated he last saw Schofield about 30 minutes prior to law enforcement’s arrival. He came by on his green four-wheeler and was going to ride it in the woods, the report said.
Schofield was ultimately arrested at 8:10 p.m. at the New Life Covenant Church of God, located at 33741 S Haines Creek Rd., Leesburg. He was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with intent to commit a felony and transported to Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.
