A pickup driver was killed in an early-morning collision with a semi in Leesburg.
The 2005 Ford F-150 collided with the semi at 5:53 a.m. at County Road 473 and Lake Eustis Drive in Leesburg, according to preliminary information from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The Ford F-150 driver (pending identification) was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the F-150 was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
County Road 473 was blocked in both directions during the investigation and cleanup of the accident.
