Trash collection as well as offices and facilities in Leesburg will be affected in observance of Christmas and New Year’s Day.
There will be no garbage or yard waste collection on Thursday, Dec. 25 or Thursday, Jan. 1. Residential and hand commercial solid waste normally picked up on Thursday will move to the following Monday. There is no change to dumpster service.
City of Leesburg offices and facilities will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25 for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day holiday observance. Regular operations will resume on Friday, Dec. 26. Offices and facilities will also be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day observance. All departments will resume normal operating hours on Friday, Jan. 2.
The Leesburg Public Library will be closed all day Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25. It will reopen Friday, December 26 with normal operating hours. The library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 and remain closed on Thursday, Jan. 1. Normal hours will resume on Friday, Jan. 2.
