Local media got a sneak peek this week inside Lake County’s first White Castle.
White Castle will officially open its Clermont location at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12.
Located at 4551 Collina Terrace in the Plaza Collina development at State Road 50 and Plaza Collina Blvd., the 3,220-square-foot Castle will feature indoor seating for 72, outdoor seating for 56, and two drive-through lanes with team members delivering orders directly to cars.

When our Leesburg-News.com correspondent joined in the media preview this week, he found that White Castle personnel are enormously proud of the new eatery and looking forward to opening the restaurant’s doors to the public. Our correspondent hails from Chicago and was thrilled to sink his teeth into the White Castle cuisine, bringing back memories of the great food from years ago.

Joining the grand opening celebration will be White Castle President and CEO Lisa Ingram – a fourth-generation family member – along with other family members and company leaders, local elected officials, development partners and invited guests.

Aaron Johnson has been named general manager of the new White Castle, and Jamel Figueroa has been appointed assistant general manager.
Both Johnson and Figueroa have grown their careers over four years with the company. White Castle, a family-owned business since 1921, earned recent certification for the fifth year in a row by Great Place To Work, an award based entirely on what the company’s team members say about their experience working at White Castle.
