A Leesburg man was arrested after refusing to leave a Bank of America when he was trespassed for pushing a manager.

An officer responded to Bank of America, located at 401 N 14th St., to investigate a battery around 10:40 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. An employee had called because her manager had been pushed by an irate customer, later identified as 75-year-old James Hill.

The manager did not wish to prosecute but requested Hill be issued a trespass warning. The officer did so, telling Hill multiple times that he was no longer licensed, authorized or invited to be on the premises. He would be arrested if he refused to leave or if he came back at any time, the report said.

Hill refused by standing still near the business counter. He advised that he enjoyed jail and the food that they serve. After asking him to leave multiple times, it was clear he was not going to, the report said.

The California native was arrested on charge of trespassing (occupied structure or conveyance). He was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $1,000 bond.
