Pilot makes emergency landing at Leesburg airport

A pilot made an emergency landing Monday at Leesburg International Airport after the landing gear failed on his aircraft.

The Leesburg Fire Department responded to the airport after the emergency landing.

The pilot successfully brought down the plane and was not injured.

No major cleanup was needed and the runway was opened back up once the plane was removed, according to the fire department.
