
Laurie Salinas Westmoreland, 45, passed away peacefully at her home in Clermont, Florida, on May 24, 2025. Born on August 12, 1979, in Racine, Wisconsin, Laurie lived a life marked by compassion, resilience, and love for those around her.
A proud graduate of Washington Park High School – Class of 1997, Laurie went on to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from Gateway Technical College. She had a generous heart and a nurturing spirit, caring for her parents in their later years and offering steady love and support to those around her.
Laurie loved music, fashion, and humor. Her infectious laugh and comforting hugs were unforgettable. She found joy in the little things and gave freely of herself to those she loved. She is survived by her cherished children: Isaiah Westmoreland, Julian Odell Westmoreland-Jones, Jaylen Odell Westmoreland-Jones, Ian Gonzalez, Devin Gonzalez, and Evelyn Rose Gonzalez; her devoted parents, Rosalinda (Salinas) and Robert Dennis Westmoreland; her beloved siblings, Robert Salinas Westmoreland and wife Perla Crisostomo and Amy Salinas Westmoreland. She also leaves behind many treasured aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and friends who will continue to honor her memory. Laurie was especially grateful to the Martinez family, whose loving care and support in raising her three youngest children brought her deep comfort. Laurie will be missed beyond words and remembered forever with love.
