
Howard Allen Kaiser, 77, of Eustis, Florida, died on May 23, 2025.
He was born on September 30, 1947 in Sheboygan, WI to Ray and June (Hoeft) Kaiser. Howard graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1966 and enlisted in the Army a year later serving in VietNam. He later earned a degree from Northern Michigan University.
He married his spouse of 56 years Kathleen Bournoville (Kathie) on December 28, 1968. Howard made his career in the newspaper industry eventually serving as Publisher of The Evening News in Sault Ste. Marie, MI until his retirement in 2013. Howard was president of the Michigan Press Association in 2005.
Upon retirement, he moved to Eustis, Florida. Howard was a member of the JayCees, the Elks, the Moose, the Eagles, the VFW, the AmVets, and the Lake County Vets.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie, children Vicky (Steven) Rands, Joelle (Michael) Zarfl, and Eric Kaiser, grandchildren Adam Rands and Kaitlyn Sanchez, sisters Carolyn (Douglas) Allen, and JoAnne Schmitt.
He enjoyed golf, visiting the casinos, and cruising the Caribbean with friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic church on Saturday, June 14, at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Veterans Memorial cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
