In Loving Memory of Diane Hendricks September 8, 1953 – May 25, 2025
Diane Hendricks, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on September 8, 1953, in Orlando, Florida, Diane lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family.
A lifelong Floridian at heart, Diane found joy in the ocean and warm Florida breezes. Later in life, she made her way back to Georgia, where she shares a home with her husband. Her days were often filled with the music of her favorite artists, Jimmy Buffett and Elvis Presley—songs that brought her joy and comfort.
Diane was the proud mother of five children: Melissa Register, Kenneth Hendricks Jr., Jennifer McLeod, William McLeod Jr., and Debra Hendricks. She lovingly helped raise numerous grandchildren, providing them with nurturing support and guiding them with her wisdom and grace.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Hendricks, and her sister, MaryJane Fraley. Diane also leaves behind her granddaughters, Nikki Register, Alexis Register, Donna Brianna McLeod, Vanessa McLeod, Crystal Clarke, Paula Jeanne Reid, Callie Hendricks, Adel McLeod, and grandsons Kris Starnes, Austin Coello, Cody Hendricks, Stetson Myers, Alex Coello, and a legacy of many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Diane lived a life full of meaning, defined by her care for others and the home she built filled with love. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in those she touched.
As she is laid to rest, we remember her with the words from an Elvis Presley song that brought her comfort:
“Oh well, I’m tired and so weary
But I must go alone
Till the lord comes and calls, calls me away
Well the morning’s so bright
And the lamp is alight
And the night, night is as black as the sea
There will be peace in the valley for me.
