Ginilou Donaldson DeMarco, 91, passed away from this life on May 23, 2025.
She leaves behind three daughters and their husbands, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She will be loved and remembered by many for sharing her talents as a musician, author and artist all of her life. While her music will live in our memories (and a few recordings), her books, paintings, sketches, sculpture and jewelry will continue to be enjoyed for years to come. She had a way with plants, animals and people, which caused them all to thrive. A few days before passing, her beautiful voice could be heard in her hospital room, in three-part harmony with her daughters, singing, “When we all get to Heaven”. She’s waiting for us there.
She chose not to have a funeral. She said she had played hundreds of funerals in her day and she had already played the music to welcome her home. She would love it if you commit random acts of kindness and donate your time and effort towards those people and causes who aid humanity, in her honor.
