Frank E. Welch, Jr. was born on February 22, 1935 and died May 16, 2025 after complications from pneumonia.
He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Welch, daughter Phyllis Jeanne Welch, and many family members.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sheryl (Warren) Lewis and Kimberly Welch. Also, step children Phyllis (Edward) Hall, Cindy (Dan) Morris, and Eric (Julie) Gray, and several grand and great grandchildren.
Frank, or Pete, as he was affectionately known by his family, was born in Boissevain, VA to Frank E. Welch Sr. and M. Olivene Thompson.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After leaving the service, he moved his family to Indiana where he worked at Midwest (National) Steel for 30+ years. He then retired to Florida where he lived until his death.
He will be forever missed.
