Christine Stephens, 73, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on May 13, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Christine’s life was marked by strength, kindness, and an unwavering love for her family.

Born on August 22, 1951, to Annie Kirkland and Zachary Clark, Christine was raised with strong values and a deep sense of community.

Christine retired from the Lake County Road Department, where she worked for many years as a skilled sign fabricator. Her dedication to her work and the friendships she made there remained a source of pride throughout her life.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Judith Ann Barton and son-in-law, Timothy Barton; her cherished grandchildren, Crystal Stephens (Ethan), Jessica Morrot (Zach), and Lee Gill (Rebecca); and seven great-grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy.

Christine also leaves behind her dear sister, Kathleen Nickerson (Scott), and sister-in-law, Linda Stalnaker. She was a caring stepmother to Karen Miller, Shirley Giffin, and William Stephens, and a proud step-grandmother to James, Ricky, Phillip, Cody Stephens, and Tammy Tyler. Her life was further enriched by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billy Stephens; her son, Steve Clark; her brother, Jessie Lee Clark; and her grandson, Joey Giffin.
