A Jacksonville man was arrested for driving without a license when an officer learned it was pending suspension.

A deputy observed the driver of a red Ford van, later identified as 36-year-old Christopher Robert Logan, traveling eastbound on U.S. Hwy. 441 around 1:10 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

At the intersection of the highway and County Road 473, the officer ran the vehicle’s tag and learned the registered owner did not have a valid license. The owner, Logan, only had a valid ID card pending suspension. The trooper then initiated a traffic stop with emergency lights activated, the report said.

The trooper made contact with Logan, and he was not able to produce a valid license after lawful command. Further investigation found Logan’s license was terminated on July 30, 2024. He was recently pulled over in Duval County for driving with no license and was given a court date, which he failed to appear to, the report said.

Hence the pending suspension, Logan was arrested for no/improper/expired driver’s license. The New York native was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
