Denise Hudson of Altoona, Florida, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, at the age of seventy-one.
Denise was a kind and generous woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted wife for fifty years to her husband Alan, and a loving mother to her children Mark, Alan Jr., Dava, Kyle, and Beth. That same love was given to her children’s spouses and each of her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a school bus driver who loved and cherished the friends she made on the “bus lot”, as well as the countless students she drove over the years. She opened her heart to her children’s friends and all the kids who surrounded her, often becoming a second “mom” to many of them. She was known for her boisterous laughter, her unwavering acceptance, and for always seeing the good in people.
She always put the needs of others before her own and was giving to the last day. Denise will always be remembered with love, warmth, and a feeling of pride for having known her. While she will be incredibly missed, we know that she has been happily reunited with her husband in paradise.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on April 11, 2025, at Beyers Funeral Home located at 249 South Central Ave, Umatilla, FL 32784
