Beverly Noyes Zimmer, 92, of Altoona, FL., went to live with her Lord and Savior on March 31, 2025.
Born in Endicott, NY, she was raised on the family farm and graduated from Vestal High School in 1950. She was the first in her family to attend college, graduating Cum Laude from State University of New York – Cortland in 1953 with a B.S. in Education. She taught elementary school for many years, and later worked as an Administrative Assistant, Real Estate Broker, and AAA Travel Consultant. Beverly loved traveling, and especially loved a trip where she visited 5 countries on 3 continents.
Beverly lived in many places, moving from Vestal, NY to Woodland Hills, CA, to Manassas, VA, to Charlotte, NC, to Myrtle Beach, SC, to The Villages, FL. She loved the warm weather as she kept moving south.
Beverly had a deep faith and was devoted to the Lord, making the church her family wherever she lived. She was always involved in the church, whether singing in the choir, welcoming new members, organizing bible studies, or leading the singles group, playing matchmaker to many. She brought joy to all those she met, always bringing a smile and giggle wherever she went, and followed the belief, “I choose to be happy.”
She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Irene Noyes, sister Lucille Lindsay, brother Kenneth Noyes, and daughter Betsey Bentley.
She is survived by sons Ritchie (Cindy) of Bakersfield, CA., and Kevin (Teresa) of Scottsboro, AL, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
