Ronald Kent Graffis, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born on August 17, 1942, Ronald dedicated much of his life to public service and community education. He retired from the Leesburg Police Department after 23 years of service. Following his retirement, he also taught firearm safety to over 2,000 citizens in Lake County. For more than two decades, he volunteered with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), sharing his knowledge through Hunter Safety courses.

An avid outdoorsman, Ronald had a deep passion for hunting and fishing. When hunting season arrived, everything else took a back seat. Known for his generosity and warm spirit, he was always ready to lend a hand—Ron never met a stranger.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Bette Graffis, and his son Charles Graffis.

He is lovingly remembered by his Forever wife LeeAnne; daughters Ronna Graffis (Laura) Fl and Carol Graffis (Gilbert)Fl; stepdaughter Jennifer Tineo (Cris)Tn.; stepson Jason Sprangler of Alabama; sister Paula Wells (D.J.) Fl; brother John Graffis (Laurie)Fl; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, 1123 W Main St., Leesburg, FL 34748.

Ronald’s legacy of service and kindness will live on in the many lives he touched. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
