
Donald Lee Slone of Leesburg, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, March, 30, 2025. He was 69. Born to Daw Slone and Maggie (Hall) Slone in Hazard, KY. Donald grew up in Hazard, KY. Donald moved to the sunny state of Florida in 1968 and stayed. He graduated from The Electrical Trade High School in Ocoee, FL.
Donald was an Industrial Lead Electrician at Louis Dreyfus Citrus Co, Winter Garden, FL for 40 years.
Donald is survived by his wife, Debra A. Slone of 5825 Celebration Way, Leesburg, FL. His children, Travis Slone of Port St. Lucie, FL, Robert Anderson of Vero Beach, FL. His grandchildren, Grace A. Cumberland of Palm Bay, FL, Madeline A. Anderson of Palm Bay, FL. Lelia Renee of Vero Beach, FL. His great-grandchildren, Liam Cumberland, Lucas Cumberland of Palm Bay, FL, and Lemon Anderson of Vero Beach, FL.
Donald had a wonderful personality. He had a quiet unique wit. Donald didn’t have a lot to say but whenever he spoke it was always good-natured, quality input and enjoyed by all who loved him. Donald especially enjoyed time with wife Debra and his family in Kentucky, visiting, camping and 4-wheeling. Donald was very close to his large family of 13 siblings.
Donald loved basketball; it was his most enjoyable sport. Frequently watching the games and rooting for his Orlando Magic, or Kentucky Wildcats teams.
