Dix Developments LLC, based in Orlando, has purchased a 74 acre property with a motocross track from Blake Baggett for a reported $4.8 million.

Baggett is a well-known retired professional motocross racer who had constructed the track to train for races.

The property is located at 1100 County Road 48 in Leesburg. According to a press release from the developer they plan to build 216 single family homes on the property which they have named Blake Ridge. The developer has two parcels just to the north of Blake Ridge. The Oak Ridge Community Development District is presently developing 718 single-family lots with 222 villas on the 597 acre Oak Ridge development and the Huntington Oaks development with 166 single-family lots and 144 villas on 84 acres. Blake Ridge will be merged into the Oak Ridge CDD.

The developer recently entered into a school mitigation agreement with the Lake County School Board to pay $1.373 million to help mitigate the impact of additional students which the Oak Ridge development is expected to generate when completed. The M&C Hunt LLC signed the mitigation agreement on behalf of the developer.
