Josephine Cato, 84, formally from Eustis, Florida passed away surrounded by friends March 5, 2025.
Born October 29, 1940 in Leicester, England. Anne married USAF Sargent Harper Cato in 1961 and moved to the United States. Anne worked as a seamstress in Daytona Beach making drapes and sky banners. Later she worked over 5years as a care giver at Waterman Village Edgewater.
She was a fierce animal advocate and volunteered for many years at the Lake County Humane Society in Umatilla and The Thrift Store in Eustis. Those who knew her either by name or face would say hello as she “made the weekly rounds” to the Post Office, Publix, Thrift Stores, and restaurants.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004, her beloved adopted pets, Jack Russell, Jackie 2019, and Poodle, Sandy 2024.
Annie will be missed by everyone who knew her as God knew what He was doing when He created her. She and her pets will be buried next to her husband in Fitzgerald, GA.
