Francesco Rosati passed away peacefully at the age of 80 in Florida, on Sunday, March 16, 2025 with his daughter Cheralyn by his side.
He fought a long, courageous battle against esophageal cancer. Despite his desire to heal, numerous treatments and spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, over the years, cancer ultimately prevailed. And throughout all of that, he did not allow the cancer to define him. He managed to continue to put a smile on his face and remain positive throughout his entire journey. He never lost his sense of humor and certainly not his sarcasm, and even pulled some light-hearted pranks on the nurses.
Born in the West End of Boston, later moved to Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1962. From 1964 – 1979 he served in the Army National Guard. He was a proud member of the Local 537 Pipefitter Union for 55 years. He spent much of his later years in Florida enjoying the sun, pickleball and golf.
Aside from being survived by his daughter, Cheralyn and long time partner, Barbara he also leaves behind his three sons, David (wife Emily), Jamie (wife Lisa) and Christopher (partner, Kim), six grandchildren and brother.
May he rest in peace, or at the very least, be able to have Gram’s gravy aka sauce, meatballs, lamb and pasta.
