A man was arrested for trespassing after being found in a tent behind Best Value Inn and claiming to be visiting his girlfriend.
An officer responded to Best Value Inn, located at 1412 S. 14th St., regarding a trespass call for service around 11:05 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. During an earlier call that day, the officer responded to the inn and met 33-year-old Larry De’Onte Richardson. He signed a trespass warning, was given a copy of it and was explained that if he came back, he risked being arrested.

When the officer returned to the inn, he found Richardson on the backside of the property in a tent. Richardson stated he was there to visit his girlfriend, the report said.
Richardson was then arrested and charged with trespass after warning. He was transported to Lake County Jail to be held without bond.
He was also arrested in March 2020 with 90 grams of marijuana.
