Maribel Leppago De Torres, 66, of Fruitland Park, FL, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Leesburg, FL.

Born on May 30, 1958, in Manila, Philippines, Maribel was the beloved daughter of Regulo and Aurora Leppago. She grew up in Manila alongside her brothers, Regulo Jr. “Boyet” and Rogelio “Ogie”, creating cherished memories that shaped her deep love for family. She pursued her passion for caregiving and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Centro Escolar University. Her dedication to helping others led her to a lifelong career as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She retired from nursing at The Villages Regional Hospital in December 2024.

On January 8, 1980, she married the love of her life, Anacleto “Lito” De Torres, in Manila. Together, they built a home filled with love, warmth, and devotion. Maribel was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting her family first. She is survived by her husband, Lito, and their three children: Alvin De Torres (wife Meghon) of Orlando, FL; Trisha Vincent (husband Drew) of Charlotte, NC; and Mona De Torres (partner Jae-hyun Park) of Winter Park, FL. She also leaves behind her precious granddaughter, Aurora Vincent, who brought her immense joy, as well as her loving brothers, Regulo Leppago Jr. (wife Eunice) and Rogelio Leppago (wife Melanie) of Manila, Philippines.

Beyond her career and family, Maribel had a deep passion for gardening, spending countless hours nurturing her plants and flowers. She found joy in paper art, creating lifelike flowers, and preserving memories through scrapbooking. She had a love for trying new foods and colorful, tropical drinks, always embracing the flavors and cultures around her. Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her in love, kindness, and service.

Family and friends are invited to honor Maribel’s life at the following services: Viewing Ceremony: Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 US-441, Lady Lake, FL 32159. Funeral Mass: Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 8:30 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Pl, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
