
Penelope Jo Garlock, 63, of Eustis, Florida, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Born in Petoskey, Michigan, she moved to Eustis in 1982 from Boyne City, Michigan.
She was a Lieutenant with the Orange County Fire and Rescue Service where she had worked for over 25 years. Pennie was of Catholic Faith. She worked part time at Lakeside Lanes in Tavares and was a member of the Thursday Night Classic Ladies bowling league. Pennie was a crafty lady, and she enjoyed sharing her creations with friends and family.
She is predeceased by her son, Joshua Steven Carpenter. She is survived by her daughters, Lindsay L. VanBuskirk of Leesburg, FL and Amber Nicole Collier (Stephen) of Umatilla, FL; brother, Thomas Joseph Garlock, Jr (Dianna), Pottsboro, TX; sisters, Deborah J. Riddle (Barry) of Clermont, FL, Katherine J. Handy (Mike) of Boyne City, MI, Patti J. Hausler (Perry) of Walloon Lake, MI, Elizabeth J. Talboys (Steve) of Boyne City, MI, Constance J. Dzedzie (Joe), Pellston, MI; grandchildren, Lily, Brenden, Payton, Harley, Zoey, Ashton, Addison, Dalton; and numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of Pennie’s life will be held at Lakeside Lanes (1950 Classique Lane, Tavares, FL) on Saturday March 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
