
Marjorie E. Davis, age 93, of Leesburg, FL went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 21, 2025.
Marjorie was born June 8, 1931 in Elko, GA to Sherman and Anna Kate Davis. She grew up in Central Florida before settling in Leesburg. She managed the Howard Johnson Restaurant for 15 years. She then went into sales at Wallings Ladies Wear, The Village Gate, and Edenfields Jewelry.
Her passion was taking care of children and she became the coordinator of childcare at the First Presbyterian Church in Leesburg. After that, she took care of children in her home before retiring. She loved the Lord and her family more than anything and was constantly making sure she told you how much. She loved to sing and listen to music and you could hear her singing while she was cooking. Cooking was her specialty – the best ever. She made sure no one went home hungry.
Marjorie was predeceased by her parents, husband Robert L. Davis Sr, son Gary A. Williamson, brothers Billy, Sherman and David, sister Doris Odum, and ex-husband Edward McLucas.
Marjorie is survived by her son Robert “Rob” L. Davis Jr (Susan); sister Mary Sue Padgett (Donald); Grandchildren Kimberly Olive (Bobby), Stephanie House (Jason), Michael Davis, Pamela Keller (Jason); Great-grandchildren Ashley Risko, Kayla Clausen (Kyle), Brysen House, twins Anna and Avery House, Justin Keller (Madison), Julia Keller, and Jordyn Keller; and Great-great-grandson Jaxson Clausen.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 West Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748 with a visitation one hour prior at 10:00 AM, interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, Florida.
