James Michael Stegall, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula in 2018 and is survived by, his daughter Holly and her husband Judd Dickerson of Lady Lake, grandsons, Gavin and Landon, sisters, Sandy Dudley of Winder Georgia, Lynn (Mike) Geohagan of Lakeland, Florida, Kim (David) Wallen of Auburn, Georgia, and Carron (Steve) Frost of Greensboro, Georgia. He was born and raised in Leesburg, Florida, Mike’s life was a testament to faith, family, and friendship.
He was a true people person—he never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel like family. His life was filled with love, laughter, and adventure, moving around 23 times across Florida and Georgia before finally settling in Mount Dora, a place he called home to raise his family.
A natural salesman, Mike had a passion for connecting with people, but his greatest joy was his family. He adored his daughter, Holly, and cherished 48 beautiful years of marriage with Paula, the love of his life. Their love was an inspiration, a bond that even death could not break. To listen to him talk about his grandsons was something special! He was SO proud of them and loved watching them compete in sports. To fill a void, his faithful companion, Gracie—his beloved dog, also known as Amazing Grace—was always by his side.
Music was in his soul—he was a rockstar, playing in the band Kolor Korporation, bringing joy to so many through his talent and energy.
Above all, Mike’s life revolved around Jesus. His faith guided him, comforted him, and gave him strength. His final wish was simple—to drift off peacefully and wake up in the presence of his Savior. That wish was granted. No more pain, no more suffering, no more loneliness. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, embraced in eternal love, worshipping his Jesus for all of eternity.
Mike’s legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His was a life well lived, and he will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
