Rita F. Bowersox-Bathrick, 92, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on January 25, 2025. Rita was born in Evart, MI, on January 11, 1933, to her loving parents; Walter and Rose (Bozung) Dake.
Rita married her late husband Robert Bowersox in 1962 and the couple moved to Leesburg together in 1993. Rita and Robert celebrated a loving 42 years together until his passing in 2004.
She then met her beloved husband of 20 years, Ronald Bathrick. Rita was a devout member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church for 30 years and enjoyed spending her time traveling, taking boat rides, reading and playing bingo. In her earlier years she competed on a traveling bowling league.
Rita was dedicated to her family and will be missed dearly by those she leaves behind, yet remembered fondly for being a loving and caring mother, grandmother and wife.
Rita is survived by her husband, Ronald Bathrick, her children; Cari Simons, Debbie (Tim) Ojczyk and Jeffrey (Julie) Bowersox, as well as a son in law; William Simons, 12 grandchildren and 6 precious great grandchildren.
Rita is preceded by her parents, brothers: Robert, Richard, Raymond and Ronnie, as well as two sons: Robert C. Bowersox and Randy M. Bowersox.
