Donna Marlene Brooker (80) was born on November 30, 1944 in Springville, New York. She passed away on December 30, 2024, in Leesburg, Florida.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and a tenderhearted grandmother/Gigi to her grandchildren/great-grandchildren that she so adored. Each of her siblings were special to her too. She LOVED family and cherished time spent with them. Donna loved BIG! And she quickly won the heart of anyone she encountered. She truly never met a stranger.
Because of her love for Christ, she was a committed prayer warrior for many. She also proudly served selflessly the widows of her church, along with supporting the many families serving in the mission field.
Donna was the Medical Records Supervisor at Leesburg Regional Hospital for many years, finally retiring in 2010.
Beyond family, she loved Christmas shopping year-round and you could never pass by a Dunkin without stopping for a cup of coffee and an old-fashioned donut. She had her own made-up Gigi words that made us laugh and we always joked that she loved her sons-in-law most of all. She was a fun, kind-hearted beautiful gift from God that touched each of our lives in a special way. She will be missed beyond words until we see her again.
Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Darrell Brooker of Fruitland Park, Florida. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda (Douglas) Coldiron, Lori (John) Allshouse, and Barbara (Lenny) Turner. She also had 6 grandchildren, Kellie, Heather, Kristy, Dana, Tiffani, and Nicholas, along with 6 great-grandchildren, Gavin, Summer, Kennedy, Camden, Lucas, and Paisley. She is also survived by her brothers Gary Hale and Mark Hale, and sisters Carol Smith, Becki Vigil, Jill Hale, and Cathy Hale (deceased).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 11 a.m. at Life Church Assembly of God where she worshipped for 36 years.
