Walter Lewis Jones, 81, of Leesburg, Florida passed away on December 23, 2024.
He was born on January 12, 1943 in Lake City, Florida to James and Gertrude Jones. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and was a Plumber for many years. Walter was also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He loved to tinker, especially with small engines. He was a kind, humble and loving father who loved unconditionally.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Mary Jones, daughters LaDonna Ann Sowers, Lisa Dannette (David) Campfield, 7 grandchildren Stephanie, Brittany, Amber, Meranda, Kevin, Jr., Kayleigh, Charles III, 11 great-grandchildren and sister Peggie Ann Pelt.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748.
A funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, December 30, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748 with Pastor Mark Reichard officiating, interment to follow at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg, Florida.
