Gladys Minich Mull, 102, of Leesburg, Fla. passed away peacefully at Lake Harris Health Center in Leesburg, Fla. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

She was born on May 3, 1922 in Mayport to Edna Pearl and Earl Minich.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, William Mull; daughter, Carol Ruth Cevario; and stepdaughter, Shelly Mull.

Survivors include her sister, Joanne O’Neal of Kittaning; son, Kenneth (Christine) Crawford of Taylor, Mo.; daughter, Lois Crawford Cunningham (Jim) of Sayre; and stepdaughters, Sue (Angelo) Carlozzi of Hollywood, Fla., Sherri Mull of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Jerri (Dennis) Simmons of Jacksonville, Fla.

Gladys was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Gladys is also survived by special niece, Janet Holben of New Bethlehem; and best friend, Bess King of Leesburg, Fla.

With three children still at home, Gladys obtained her licensed practical nursing certification and became employed at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center.

Gladys was a long-time member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Leesburg, Fla. where she served on the altar guild and often baked her delicious cookies to be enjoyed during the after service fellowship hour.

Gladys was a skilled seamstress and created many quilts, enjoyed crafting, and was an excellent cook and baker. She loved spending time with her family, her church family, good stories, (especially funny ones) and a good cookie.

Her gentle ways, her smile that could light up a room and her infectious giggle will be sorely missed.

Gladys’ family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Lake Harris Skilled nursing facility which provided such excellent care to Gladys.
