Police are looking for the girlfriend of a man who has been charged with killing a convenience store clerk.
On June 3, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 25-year-old Alex Lopez for the fatal shooting of a clerk at the Fast Stop Superette, located at 3702 Picciola Road in Leesburg, on the evening of May 30. The victim, 51-year-old Raied Shihadeh, was found unconscious with at least one gunshot wound on the floor inside. He was airlifted to Ocala Regional Medical Center where he later died.Â
Lopez was ultimately arrested on June 26 by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Orlando Violent Task Force in Kissimmee. He faces charges of murder/homicide-premeditated, armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possessing a firearm during a felony.Â
Detectives, through their ongoing investigation, have found that Lopez’ mother Patricia Kinchens, sister Breanna Lopez, and girlfriend Kaili Dupuis assisted him in preventing law enforcement from capturing him. Detectives filed arrest warrants on all three women Thursday for accessory after the fact of premeditated murder, armed robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm/ammo by a convicted felon, and weapon display/use during a felony.Â
Patricia and Breanna were arrested Thursday without incident, with assistance from the the Lady Lake Police Department and the Wildwood Police Departments.    Â
Dupuis remains at large and is wanted by law enforcement. She has been arrested in the past for getting into an apparent jealousy-fueled brawl over a boyfriend’s affections while she was pregnant in June 2021.  Â
If you know the whereabouts of Kaili Dupuis, contact the Leesburg Police Department at 352-787-2121, or call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for reward.Â
