A pedestrian has died after being after hit by a pickup driven by a Leesburg man.
The 31-year-old Leesburg man had been driving a GMC Sierra pickup at 12:09 a.m. Sunday on State Road 674 in Hillsborough County when a 34-year-old Tampa man ran across the highway and entered into the path of the pickup, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
