Deputies were dispatched to an undisclosed Eustis residence regarding a handyman finding a male, 46-year-old Kenneth Ray Hutchinson, and female, 35-year-old April Dominique Cain, who broke into said residence around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were advised that Hutchinson held a knife to the handyman’s throat.

Upon arrival, deputies observed Hutchinson inside the home without any clothes near bags and pillows. He was advised to walk outside, the report said.

The handyman told deputies that he arrived at the residence to begin his work for the homeowner when he found Hutchinson in a room sleeping naked and Cain sleeping in another room. He was able to take photos of Hutchinson while he was sleeping before walking over to Cain and taking photos of her, as well. He also told her to leave the residence, the report said.

Deputies cleared the house out and only found Hutchinson inside. It appeared Cain left the residence prior to their arrival. The homeowner was able to send deputies photographs of Cain, who was later found walking near Kurt & West Charlotte Avenue, the report said.

When deputies questioned Cain regarding her involvement with the residence, she advised that she went through the window inside the house. The report noted that deputies found a broken window on the north side of the residence. The homeowner confirmed she did not have permission to be inside of the house, the report said.

Additionally, a search of Cain’s person revealed she had three glass smoking devices with crystal-like residue, the report said.

Cain was subsequently arrested on charges of burglary to unoccupied dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $11,000.

Hutchinson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary to unoccupied dwelling, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also taken to jail with bond set at $8,500.
