City of Leesburg announces closings for 4th of July holiday

City of Leesburg offices and facilities will close Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.  

Closings include City Hall, the Municipal Services Center, Public Works, Recreational Complex and the Leesburg Public Library. There will be no garbage or yard waste collection on Thursday, July 4. Residential and hand commercial solid waste regularly scheduled for pick up on Thursdays will be picked up on Monday, July 8. There will be no change to dumpster service for the holiday. 

All city facilities will reopen on Friday, July 5. 

The H.O. Dabney Aquatic Center and Rogers Park Splash Pad will both be open on July 4. The Aquatic Center will be open with extended hours from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Splash Pad will follow the regular schedule of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional information on these amenities including locations and admission fees can be found on the Recreation Department website at www.LeesburgFlorida.gov/recreation.
