Shirley Pruitt Spears, 84, of Fruitland Park, Florida went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2024. Born April 27, 1940 in Leesburg, Florida and a graduate of Eustis High School in 1958. She was a homemaker first and later was a secretary at the family pest control business.
Shirley is survived by her sons Derrell (Monette) Spears, Jimmy (Stacy) Spears, daughter Jennifer (Michael) Grovesteen, Goddaughter Ronda Mayberry, four grandchildren Beau, Courtney, Kyle and Kara Spears, a great-great grandchild Ashton Spears. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, E. Dewaine (Wayne) Spears, brother Stanley Pruitt, sisters Flo LaVeigne, Helen Freeman and Margaret Jackson.
A visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748 with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m., interment to follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Fruitland Park, FL.
