The female victim told deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office that she had engaged in a verbal altercation with 28-year-old Brian Norflee on or about May 10, according to an affidavit of probable cause out of Lake County. She advised that the pair had been in a romantic relationship and living together for two years. She was also six months pregnant with his baby at the time.

On the morning of the incident, an argument broke out due to Norflee getting frustrated about having to pay his half of the bills. The argument turned physical when he shoved the victim into the garage door, causing her to also fall to the ground. The affidavit noted that prior to law enforcement arriving on scene, the victim was worried because she could not feel the baby moving anymore.

The victim stated that the argument happened every month when it was time for Norflee to pay his half of the bills. However, he did not usually get physical, the affidavit said.

While on scene, deputies observed a dent in the garage door which was consistent with the victim’s statement. She also had a scrape on her left elbow from falling to the ground. Norflee fled the scene before deputies got there and had not been found yet at the time, the affidavit said.

Additionally, the victim stated that she was noticeably pregnant, and Norflee had paid for all her doctor appointments up to that point, the affidavit said.

Norflee ultimately turned himself in to the LCSO on Friday night to be charged with aggravated battery on a pregnant female (domestic). He made no statements regarding the case before being taken to Lake County Jail. He was released after posting $2,500 bond.
