SH Shaw, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully on April 30, 2024. He came to Leesburg, Florida at a youthful age, where he met the love of his life, Mary, whom he had been married to for 52 years.

SH worked for the City of Leesburg, Public Works for 12 years as a heavy equipment operator and at Continental Country Club for 36 years as Maintenance Supervisor until he retired.

SH was a country boy, who loved the simple things in life and loved spending time with his wife and family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in the yard or garden, working on vehicles, taking the family on camping trips or other adventures in the Ocala National Forest. One of his greatest enjoyments was watching his grandchildren and great-grandchild grow up. Described by anyone who knew him, was that he was one of the most giving and big-hearted men they ever met. SH leaves behind a family legacy that will live on for generations.

Preceded in death by his wife Mary Shaw; parents Malcolm and Pearl Shaw; sister Elizabeth; sister Lessie; brother BJ; sister Lottie; sister Rhonda; sister Marley, brother Jackie. He is survived by his daughter Lora Popovich (Tom), Pensacola, FL; son Samuel Shaw (Susan), Fruitland Park, FL; granddaughter Stephanie (Albert), Pensacola, FL; granddaughter Mary (Seth), Mount Dora, FL; granddaughter Victoria, Pensacola, FL; grandson Sean, Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson Daniel, Fruitland Park, FL; great-granddaughter Tala, Pensacola, FL; sisters Shirley, Louise, Patty, Hope, Alberta, brothers Colon, Hasting, Mark and many nieces and nephews.

SH’s final resting place is beside his beloved wife at Lone Oak Cemetery, Leesburg, FL.
