Steven Charles Margolis, 74, passed away on April 9, 2024. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 16, 1949 to Bernard and Jean Margolis, and raised in NYC.
He was a gentle soul with a wild streak and a big heart. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a combat engineer. He enjoyed cooking, building cars, RVing, tinkering, remote control cars, BMX racing, horses, and music.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years: Karen Northrup of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida; sons: Garrett Margolis (Karen) of Davenport, Florida and Craig Margolis (Kristen) of Haines City, Florida; grandchildren: Jack, Wendy, Angie, Marissa, Caroline, and his sister: Jan Aziz of Ft. Worth, Texas.
A military sendoff will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
