Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at Summer Bay Resort, located at 17805 U.S. Hwy. 192 in Clermont, around 3 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Dispatch advised that a male subject was hysterical and running around the clubhouse and that a female subject had been battered.

Upon arrival, deputies met with 19-year-old Jazmin Torres and her boyfriend, 18-year-old Adriel Josue Anaya, whom she had been arguing with. At about 2:30 a.m., the two were arguing in their vehicle, which caused Torres to become irate and shove Anaya while he was driving, the report said.

Torres advised that the argument then continued outside the vehicle, causing Anaya to accidentally close the car door on her fingers. EMS responded to that incident without law enforcement, and Torres advised that she accidentally closed the door on it, the report said.

The two kept arguing, which prompted Torres to pull out her cellular device and start recording the incident. Anaya tried to snatch the phone from her hand, and in doing so, he hit her lip and caused her to bleed, the report said.

Torres described their relationship as intimate and advised they had been dating for over a year and living together for almost eight months, making it domestic in nature. She verbally advised that she wanted to prosecute, the report said.

When the deputy contacted Anaya, he was not cooperative and was unwilling to speak to deputies about the incidents that transpired. He advised that he wanted an attorney present, the report said.

Deputies observed Torres’ lip to be swollen and bloody. No injuries were seen on Anaya, who was subsequently placed into custody and taken to Lake County Jail without further incident, the report said.

Lake EMS responded to the scene to treat Torres who was ultimately taken to 4 Corners Hospital, located at 16966 Cagan Ridge Boulevard. After being cleared, she was also taken to the Lake County Jail due to her admitting to being the primary aggressor in this incident, the report said.

Torres was charged with simple battery (domestic). She was released from jail after posting $1,000 bond. Anaya was also charged with simple battery (domestic) and released after posting $1,000 bond.
