Virginia Eriful Sigley
July 9, 1953 – March 19, 2024
Virginia Eriful Sigley, 70, of Tavares, FL, went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 19, 2024. She was born July 9, 1953 to her loving mother, Petra Blanca Eriful, in Itbayat, Batanes, Philippines.
Virginia, the most loving and beloved wife and mother, is survived by her husband, Paul, son, Christopher, sisters Susana E. Nico and Florentina E. Castillo, brothers Filadelfo B. Eriful and Wilfredo B. Eriful, along with extended family in The Philippines, and elsewhere abroad. She meets her brother Elpidio B. Eriful in Heaven.
She was an intelligent and devoted woman, receiving a Bachelors of Science Degree from National Teachers College in Manila, Philippines. She moved back to Batanes to teach in Mahatao, where she met the love of her life, Paul, while he was in the Peace Corps. They moved to New Jersey thereafter and had their son, Christopher, and continued her teaching career for nearly 20 years, eventually retiring with Paul to Florida, authoring a book in her free time.
Virginia was a strong and caring woman who would have given anything for her family. Her devotion to seeing her students develop and succeed over her lifetime has been an overwhelming blessing and honor. The incredible selflessness and love that she gave everyone that met her will truly be missed. She is in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father and looking upon us with happiness.
A private cremation service will be held. A memorial gathering for Virginia will be observed at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Virginia’s memory to the American Lung Association. www.lung.org Notifications may be sent to Paul and Christopher Sigley, 5604 Gulf Stream St., Tavares, FL 32778.
