Christine Anne Herndon

Christine “Chris” Anne Herndon of Eustis, Florida passed away on Tuesday February 27, 2024, at the age of 73.
She was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 9, 1950, to her parents Herbert and Beverly Shippy. She moved to Central Florida from Oklahoma in 1988. She is a member of Journey Christian Church Eustis, Florida. Chris was also a member of the Model A Club, owning one passed down from her great-great uncle, and enjoyed attending car shows. She was an avid shopper who would consistently thrift and find items that reminded her of family members and buy them. She was an LPN for over 50 years.
Chris is preceded in death by her husband George Herndon; parents Herb and Bev Shippy; brother Chet Shippy.
Chris is survived by her children Douglas (Tiffany) Herndon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jason (Susie) Herndon of Wildwood, Florida, and Jennifer (Bill) Baker of Eustis, Florida; sisters Connie Stroot and Shelley Hunt; along with 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her companion of 3 years, Steve Denny.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 9:00 – 10:00 AM with a funeral ceremony staring at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. A committal service will follow the chapel ceremony at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
