A deputy recognized 30-year-old Blake Loran Russell in front of Pizzano’s Pizzeria at 11240 Northern Ave. around 11 a.m. Nov. 11, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Because Russell had an active Lake County writ of bodily attachment for owing child support, the deputy pulled his patrol into the parking lot. He then saw Russell walk into the front door of one of the stores. Russel was found inside and detained upon leaving the store, the report said.

A search of Russel’s right cargo pocket revealed a white crystal substance in a clear plastic baggie and a metal smoking device. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Russel was subsequently arrested on charge of possession of methamphetamine. He was transported to the Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,770.
