The City of Leesburg has announced the hiring of Maggie Lyden as the special event manager for the city’s new event division.
Lyden brings a wealth of experience to the position and will lead a team of staff and volunteers tasked with providing high-quality events for the community following 28 years of successful events presented by the Leesburg Partnership.
The first event to be hosted by the city of Leesburg will be the highly anticipated Leesburg Christmas Festival, scheduled for Dec. 2.The theme of the parade and festival is, “A Christmas Cinema Spectacular.”
“The city of Leesburg would like to express its sincere gratitude to the community for their continued support,” said City Manager Al Minner. “As we move ahead, we look forward to creating memorable experiences and fostering a sense of unity through our exciting lineup of special events.”
