After a long hard battle with chronic illness, Denise Ruth Long went home to be with Jesus on September 30th, 2023 at the age of 63.
Denise was full of life, even during her illness. Her zest for life, love for others and her family kept her going. She gave more to everyone who knew her than they could ever give to her. She is survived by her husband James Long, daughter Gina Barber, sons Joey Hopper (Nikki), Josh Hopper (Bekah) and Jesse Long (Dana), six grandchildren and a canine daughter Bella, who were her life.
While Denise and Jim called Grand Island, Florida, home for the past four and a half years, Kentucky was where her life began. Her family will share the plans for a KY celebration of life for Denise at a future date.
