Christian Lewis Farner, born July 17, 1985 in Leesburg, Florida went to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, unexpectedly on June 22, 2023 in Connersville, IN, at the age of 37.

Christian was a kind, generous, witty and creative young man who sang and played multiple instruments – including the guitar. He was an amazing son, brother, husband and father who loved life and lived it to its fullest. His goodness of spirit lit up a room and everyone who met him – LOVED him! His wife and children adored him and he was very “present” for all who were close to him. Christian was a Jack of all trades and what he didn’t know how to fix, he would research and teach himself. He was also a very creative chef and photographer and was studying to become a cyber security analyst. Christian loved his family above all else and enjoyed spending time with them, every chance he was able. As an organ donor, Christian saved five lives, helped others to see as well as, sharing bone and tissue with other recipients – the family was very proud of his ability to do so!

Christian is survived by his wife, Kirsten, their two sons, Wilder and Woodson and his baby girl due later this year [Indiana]: his parents, Mark and Terry Anne Farner [Florida]; his sister, Megan Thomas (Sam) and his niece, Sadie [North Carolina]; and Kirsten’s parents, Jeff and Jeanne Mertens [Indiana]. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Eric Mertens.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 in Connersville, IN at 1:00pm near the Big Pond where Christian, Pops, Wilder and Woodson fished.

An Open House Memorial will be held on Saturday, October 28th at Mark and Terry Anne’s home from 1:00pm to 3:00pm for family and friends to share in a Celebration of Christian’s Life in Florida.

Christian will be sorely missed by his family and friends – his absence being ever present in the forefront of our hearts and minds forever. Until we meet again, We Love You Christian!
