Wet lands on proposed Treasure Trove developement
The Treasure Trove subdivision would be built on 55 acres off County Road 44.

The project is called Treasures Trove and is being developed by the Traders Cove Corporation. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the application on July 21, 2022 and recommended denial by a vote of 0-7. The Planning Commission’s recommendation was based on concerns about traffic along County Road 44. The City Commission heard the case (including revisions to the site plan from 155 units to 110 units) on Feb. 27 and returned the case to the Planning Commission, which heard the case again on April 20. The Planning Commission again recommended disapproval by a vote of 2-5.
