Pop artist Michael Knapp’s “Pop Goes the Easel” exhibit is on display at Beacon College’s Kristin Michelle Mason Art Gallery.

The exhibit opened Jan. 17 and will run through March 10. The opening reception will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the gallery, located at 103 E Main St. in Leesburg. The public is invited to the opening reception and to tour the exhibit.
Michael Knapp is known for taking everyday things that tend to go unobserved and bringing them to the forefront of his art, helping us to see what we may have missed.
“As a pop artist, he depicts our visual world in very recognizable ways,” said Russ Bellamy, Beacon College studio arts professor and Mason Art Gallery director.
“Art inspires everyone. We hope with this exhibit that our students will be excited to explore various types of art like modern, pop, or even traditional styles,” Bellamy added “We’re excited to offer an exhibit of this quality with quite a breadth of work to our local community.”
The public is welcome to view the exhibit in the Mason Art Gallery for free between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
