A woman has been arrested in an alleged attack on her man friend at a Leesburg hotel.
Leesburg officers were dispatched Dec. 23 to the Marriott TownePlace Suites after a 911 call was received from a man who claimed that 28-year-old Jessie Lynn Parker had struck him with a coat hanger. The motel clerk led the officers to the room where the call for help originated.
When the clerk opened the door, the officers saw Parker standing over the victim who was using his cell phone to record the attack. The police separated the pair so they could interview the them separately.
Parker told the police that she had spent the night with the man in the hotel room. She had left the room sometime in the morning, but returned that afternoon to retrieve her eyeglasses, which she had left in the room. When she entered the room, the man tried to to leave with his backpack, which she said contained her eyeglasses. When she attempted to look in the pack, she said the man began to push her and kicked her in the chest area. She told the officers that he would turn off his phone when he attacked her and turn it back on when she struck back in self defense, according to the arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. She had some bruises on her arm which she said occurred when the man tried to close the door when she tried to come in to the room that afternoon.
The man said that he opened the door when he heard a knock, thinking it was housekeeping. Parker forced her way into the room, according to the man and began attacking him. He videoed the attack.
The officers placed Parker under arrest for battery. After booking her at the Leesburg Police Department Parker was taken to the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $1,000.
Parker has a history of arrests:
- She had been arrested March 6 when she was a passenger in a black Ford Mustang driven by her on-again off-gain boyfriend.
- The former Beef O’Brady’s bartender escaped prosecution in 2021 in an alleged attack on the same man with whom she had been traveling in the Mustang.
