Leesburg man faces probation violation and new felony charges after traffic stop

Dontrell Jamar LuddenA Leesburg man was stopped early Tuesday night by a Leesburg officer at the intersection of Tuskegee Street and Waitman Avenue.

A search of the vehicle driven by 28-year-old Dontrell Jamar Ludden turned up more than 20 grams of cannabis in the vehicle.

Ludden had been placed on probation June 2 for possession of MDMA and THCWAX, both controlled substances. The term of probation was 36 months. The new offense triggered a violation of probation arrest in addition to the new Cannabis charges.

After processing at the Leesburg Police Department Ludden was taken to the Lake County Jail where he was being held without bond.
