Helen Cope Thornton, 93, of Leesburg, Florida passed away September 12, 2022.
She was born November 10, 1928 in United, Pennsylvania to Joseph Watson and Anna Rebecca (nee Hunker) Cope. Mrs. Thornton was a woman of great faith and attended First Baptist Church in Leesburg, FL as well The Church at South Lake in Clermont, FL.
She is survived by her children: Sharon J Hammond and husband David of Leesburg, FL and Michele H Gish and husband Daniel of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren: Brian Hammond and wife Tandy, Jennifer English and husband Brandon, Ryan Gish and wife Crystal and Brandon Gish and wife Dana; 11 great grandchildren; and sister Eileen Helser. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kristen as well as 3 brothers.
