A Leesburg woman was arrested after discovering her man friend was “officially a couple” with another woman.
Leesburg police officers went Monday morning to the Arbours of Silver Lake Apartments where they arrested 24-year-old Denaria Anderson on charges of domestic battery, battery and criminal mischief.
The arrest followed an alleged incident Saturday morning in which Anderson and another woman identified as “Kim” went to the home of Anderson’s man friend. Anderson went into the man’s bedroom to have a private conversation with him.
When the man told Anderson that he and his female roommate were “officially a couple,” she struck him several times in the face with her fists. She then put him in a chokehold and dragged him into the hallway. Anderson proceeded to enter the roommate’s room and punched her several times in the face and head. She was knocked off of her chair as Anderson and “Kim” continued to strike her.
As Anderson and “Kim” left the scene, they grabbed a laptop belonging to the roommate and a television and threw them into the yard, according to the police report. Damage to the two items was estimated at $700.
Anderson was booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $3,000 bond.
